the density of water. 2:1 by volume is essentially identical to 2:1 by
weight in this situation.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I was curious so measured a 10# bag of sugar into a gallon container and smaller containers. I found that 10# of sugar measured out to 5 1/2 quarts dry volume.
