Thanks to all for your suggestions.
One thing I noticed, and it comes from the number of years you have kept
bees, is the transition from full suit to zero (at times).
Several do what I do which is-
casual visits often are no bee wear;
going beyond the lid pop a mosquito/bug net;
more serious stuff, hat, veil and long sleeve shirt (shorts optional);
and full manipulation, the suit.
A lot depends on the time of day, the weather and what the bees are doing.
I got stung a couple of times recently pulling mite drop trays early in the
am, something that barily gets a notice in mid-day.
