To add to the previous thoughts, I wonder how to best test whether using N20
is better/worse than other options.
The simplest, I'm thinking would be to make up 10 similar nucs and treat 5 with
N2O and confine the other 5 for three days before opening them. Then observe
them for a month or two.
This would compare practical results of the two mthods and that is what really
matters.
A keen observer could go further and count brood, flights, etc., but if the nucs
work out the same for all intents and purposes, that is enough for most of us.
