Congratulations, Barb! This volume sounds fascinating, and it's great that
SHA is providing so much open access!
I'll post it to our journal's FB page, if that's OK! (so, apologies in
advance about the cross-postings, folks!).

Subject: announcing public release of HA thematic issue on Chinese railroad
workers
Dear Hist Arch'ers
I'm really pleased to announce the public release of the most recent
thematic issue of Historical Archaeology: "The Archaeology of Chinese
Railroad Workers in North America." The SHA has released this thematic issue
in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the introduction of Chinese
workers to the first transcontinental railroad in 1865. The journal issue
was developed through a workshop sponsored by the Chinese Railroad Workers
in North America Project, and features 16 articles.
In order to foster interdisciplinary and transnational scholarship, the SHA
has generously facilitated bi-lingual abstracts (English and Chinese),
single-issue sales, and (for a limited time) free web distribution of the
issue's preface, introduction, and commentaries. Please share this
information with colleagues in other fields and other countries who may be
interested in this publication.
Copies of the journal issue can be ordered through Lulu.com:
Paperback ($25):

On behalf of all of us at the Chinese Railroad Workers in North America
Project, and especially the contributing authors, I'd like to express my
deep gratitude to the SHA, including past HA editor Joe Joseph and current
editor Chris Matthews, for their support of this publication and especially
for facilitating immediate public release of this journal issue.
Warmly,
--Barb
