Jeffrey : We have recovered one good horseshoe and some nails as well from Presidio
De la Seņora del Pilar de Los Adaes. See field reports La.Division of Archaeology
Baton Rouge, La. Also Avery,Gregory,Blaine in Historical Archaeology. You might want to review the work on Texas sites by Curtis Tunnell . There were horseshoe nails from site associated with the Coronado expedition as I recall. Jay C. Blaine in Dallas may be able to help you. George Avery at Stephen F. Austin could maybe give you more references. Good luck.
