The Society for Post-Medieval Archaeology will hold their third annual Geoff Egan Memorial Lecture, on Wednesday 18th December (one month today!) at the Clore Learning Centre, Museum of London, 150 London Wall, London EC2Y 5HN (please note the different venue from that used for previous lectures).
Dr. Annemarieke Willemsen (Curator, Medieval Department, National Museum of Antiquities, Leiden) will be speaking on:
'Taking up the glove: Finds, uses and meanings of gloves, mittens and gauntlets in Western Europe, c.1400-1700 AD'
There will be a wine reception from 5.30 - 7.00pm
And the lecture takes place 7.00 - 8.30pm
All are welcome, and entry is FREE; please secure your seat at the lecture by emailing [log in to unmask] by Monday 9th December.
