Part of the problem with pesticides is applying them when they are not needed which happen here along with being very uneducated about honey bees. http://bangordailynews.com/2012/06/20/news/bangor/fairmount-park-bee-swarm-disperses-as-pest-control-responds/?ref=relatedBox Think the pesticide company sprayed so they could bill the city? They may have decided they wanted some money for their time going to kill the swarm of bees that had already moved on. Where it has Trade Name on the sign it looks like MastaLive, if that is meant to be the name of the pesticide used I couldn't find it with an inter net search. After that article a beekeepers offered their services if any other swarms land in public parks. http://bangordailynews.com/2012/06/28/news/bangor/the-bee-whisperer-expects-to-see-surge-in-bee-swarms-as-rainy-weather-ends/ Not happy with the uneducated in my state, Karen T-K *********************************************** The BEE-L mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software.
