No, and I have a lot of SHB in my hives. The bees keep them pretty well corralled. It's only when the bees can't control them that they then start reproducing in the hive and then the larvae will take over a hive pretty quickly. Wish we had some bees that would catch them and drag them out of the hive while still really small.
Pupa and bee larvae being eaten. Might it be that the colony is strongly hygienic and the bees are eating diseased and infested larvae and pupae? This is conjecture on my part.
