I have had tennis elbow before. It lasted for months of pain, tenderness, clasps and, eventually, painful injections of cortisone from the doctor. I had it again a couple of years ago and recognised it. I went to a hive (it was winter) found a bee and applied the sharp end to the painful point of the elbow. I left it in for a full 2 minutes (a slow count of 120) and it hurt! There was reddening and slight swelling for a couple of days. When it was gone, so was the tennis elbow. It didn't come back.
Disclaimer: I'm not a medic. I can't diagnose. What worked for me might not work for you. It might have been the placebo effect (which is surprisingly effective!).
