Hi Allen Randy and all
I do 24 hr sticky board drops on my overwintered hives every 2 weeks
from late June till mid September. I used to start earlier but
seldom saw a mite so moved the start date later. Normally late June
levels are 0-8, this year 0. By doing bi-weekly counts you can see
the exponential rise often to 10-40+ by late August. This year the
highest count was 4 mites over 48 hrs on one hive while the others
were 0-1 in late August. Having data from previous years allows me
to deduce that this year is different.
