Many beekeepers try to raise full supers of comb over double brood chambers.  
That requires a great deal of expertise. a good flow and/or luck.  The results 
are often less than  encouraging.

For reliable results, singles are a better choice.  Nonetheless, there are 
always a few colonies which do not perform, but they should amount to less 
than 10% and they can immediately be put back into extracted production 
when this becomes obvious, or used to make up nucs.

There is quite a bit on comb production in the archives, so other than 
mentioning this one fundamental point, I won't repeat it here.
