Hi Queen enthusiasts,

My friend caught a large swarm from his hive. Looking thru the swarm, found the old queen with a dot.

Also found five (5), virgin queens. He mashed 2 trying to cage them and caged the others. I have 2 virgins in cages.

How long can I keep the virgins caged??

Has anyone ever found this in a swarm??

What caused this? Did they wait a couple of days too late to swarm??

This happened in North Alabama.

Lionel
