>I would really like to hear from those of you out there that run the pure
Russians and those who run the hybrids.
In my limited experience with Russian hybrids, I was disappointed.
With pure Russians, I found great variability between colonies in
temperament, productivity, size of winter cluster, and mite resistance--but
I had also brought in several of the 18 "lines" of Russian stock.
By applying selective breeding of the "best" Russians for my purposes in an
isolated yard flooded with Russian drones, I effected great improvement and
consistency of the stock in a few generations.
