Hi Aaron,
We also use a combination of fume boards (benz or butyric) and a blower.
A simple backpack blower with a wand narrowed to an elongated slit directs
the air stream.
We've also tried one of the inexpensive high velocity electric blowers,
which worked well. We just bring the supers to the home yard where there is
power, and finish blowing out there.
One important point is to make sure that the air intake is screened--if you
suck bees in, you will put out a plume of alarm pheromone, and things can
quickly get ugly.
