Hi Joe,
North of you - PEI, Canada.
Running slightly early by maybe 10 days.
Coltsfoot in bloom, Willow sp., Speckled Alders giving pollen. Red Maple
just about to bloom in places. Aspens advancing fast towards producing
pollen.
Limited ice present around the Island this winter, less snow cover depth
and with the wind blowing as they are, the soils - sand/ sandy marls -
(without the calcareous fraction, therefore not really a marl) are
drying out rapidly.
Temps. are somewhat above average by a few degrees.
I hear in Maine, things seem to be approx. two weeks in advance as
compared to what is considered "normal".
