Yes, any additional data would be useful! I should have suggested. Am
especially interested in progression of mite levels during summer dearth.
FWIW, I inspected 4 treatment-free colonies in the Calif Bay Area
yesterday. The brood in three was beautiful, and all exhibited VSH, and no
signs of DWV in either adults or pupae. Mite levels in the two that I took
samples from were in the 7% range. All indications to me were that they
would likely survive the winter. I'll follow up in spring.
