The excavation of a landfill site in New Mexico last weekend generated considerable media attention. The exavation was led by a self-described punk archaeologist and the project focussed on finding evidence of the purported secret dumping of hundreds of thousands or more games of 'ET: the Extra-Terrestrial', which many have described as the worst video game. Ever.
I wrote a column on it that was uploaded today. Mostly, it is an interview with the archaeologist.
It is historic archaeology. The games apparently entered the landfill in 1983.
