This sounds like a wonderful new resource! Since the title refers to all
of Asia, is there any chance of including Western Asia (Near East) in this
database in the future? Traditional dhow building is still alive and well in
places like Oman and Abu Dabi, though now often for racing. Maybe someone
can even visit the shipyard and get visual documentation. Such data would be
valauble for researchers from East Africa to the Malacca Straits. The
Indian Ocean was an Islamic lake during the
Middle Ages.
