In view of the fact that many British potters were relocating to the Ohio
Valley in the 19th century and bringing their techniques from Staffordshire
to the old Northwest, have any of you found a good way to distinguish
British-made from American-made yellow wares from the internal evidence of sherds,
such as paste or glaze differences? Do you have references for these
differences?
Thanks,
Bob Hoover
