I am in the process of organizing a symposium for the SHAs tentatively titled "Manifestations of Magic: The Archaeology and Material Culture of Magic and Folk Belief." I currently have three papers and a discussant lined up and I am looking for one to three additional papers relating to this topic. Papers should focus on the material evidence and interpretation of magical traditions in European (particularly British) colonial and post-colonial contexts in North America or elsewhere. In particular, I am looking for papers that explore archaeological evidence from a particular site or group of sites. If you are interested in participating in the session, please contact me off list at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>

Thanks,
Chris Manning
