>Correct me if I'm wrong, but black locust blooms before it comes into leaf,
which is why the blooms are so spectacular looking.
I've seen black locust bloom before leafing
and after leafing has progressed. When
Black Locust blooms before leafing, the
bloom can be spectacular, and in my
experience (providing conditions are
good), blooms before leafing tend
to produce a bumper crop.
