It is with sadness that I must inform you of the passing of Anne Fox. Anne
is best known for her contributions to historical archaeology in Texas and
most especially the Spanish Colonial period and her knowledge of ceramics.
She had retired several years ago, but those of us who worked with her, feel
that we have lost a mentor and a friend. Although I was hired in 2000 to
try and follow in her footsteps here at CAR, I have always felt I can never
replace her knowledge of south Texas and historical archaeology. Thanks
for the knowledge you passed on and for being a mentor to all of us. We
have lost yet another pioneer.
Sadly,
Marybeth
