For those you working on War of 1812 historical sites, particularly in the states of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and the province of western Ontario (Canada), the Michigan Historical Review's special issue (The War of 1812), vol. 38, no. 1, Spring 2012, has just been published with six articles providing historical context for military and domestic sites.

The articles cover the Sauk and Fox Indians, Detroit, Michilimackinac, Prairie du Chien, Frenchtown (River Raisin), Moraviantown, and Port Miami (Maumee Rapids) by Sandy Antal, David C. Skaggs, Patrick Jung, Barry Gough, Stevem Rauch, and Patrick Tucker and Laurel Heyman. There are also seven reviews in the issue of recent publications concerning the War of 1812.

If interested, contact Jennifer Green (editor, [log in to unmask]) or Mary Ward Graham (assistant editor, [log in to unmask]), The Michigan Historical Review, Clarke Historical Library, Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, Michigan 48859.
