I recently tried this with a standard UV blacklight fluorescent tube.  Yes,
the scale glowed slightly, along with a lot of other stuff.

A far better test is the Holst Milk Test.  In fact I am sending off a photo
of the results of such a test for an upcoming article in ABJ.  I found the
Holst test to readily distinguish atypical EFB from AFB.
