I attended a presentation yesterday here at Cornell "Assessing the impact of Nosema Disease in Apid Bees" by Leellen Solter, Illinois Natural History Survey. One thing that she emphasized is that the place of Nosema in the phylogenetic tree is not yet settled. They are weird little things.
