If the notes Brother Adam kept are complete and accurate and the people working on the reactivation of the Buckfast strain have access to them, they should be able to come pretty d a r n  close.  After all, they have the descendents from his work, plus they have the advantage of all the gains we have made in breeding since his time.  Will they be Brother Adam's bees?  No.  Will they be close?   I think so, and maybe be a better bee than what he had.  Realize, we are combating conditions today that he did not have to deal with.
