If you search "Fleet Cornhill Archaeology" you will reach a PDF of the  
final report on excavation in the historic district of Annapolis in  
2008. The file is about 20 MB.

The log-paved road is described on pp. 56-61. It was underneath a  
stratum dating to the early 18th century.
