Why not use gallon cans directly on the top bars...actually on shims.
You can give 5 gallons at one time and the syrup is in contact with the
cluster. They warm the syrup and take down all 5 cans in a week or less.
The trick is to feed fast so they won't use it raising brood, but store
and ripen and cap it.
