I have seen and bet my hands that most beekeepers have seen the "W-Dance"
It is a fact that we need to explain or fit into to the bigger tale of the
"hive and the honeybee"
Insects in a Colony versus perfect human mind plus lenguaje?. Too big a
pill to swallow.

In the part of the world where I live, we "share" the territory with the
Mapuche, "the people of the land". They do not developed a written lenguaje
before the spaniard arrived.
They tell tales on social events. It is important to spell it correctly.
Sometimes the youngers feel proud and tell one of this tales, and if in the
interim he makes a mistake, the older will take the word back, and continue
the tale properly, reparing the mistake. They do not have the zero properly
defined in their culture either and the sense of time is also flexible.

"Humans" are a not well defined/understood mind as far as lenguaje
comunication.

Simple insects with not many on/off swithches can do very complex process.
Pulse gathering , olfatory and feromones triggers, magnetic orientation,
are all parts of this bigger tale. For sure for the efficiency of
monofloral nectar hoarding the W-dance must comunicate something.

How all the wheels move is far from my understanding at present times. Love
this tipe of trolling that makes as debate.
