Here we go again!
Lies and misinformation muddying rational decision making.
The chemical in Agent Orange that caused problems is not the herbicide
which the proposed crops will be resistant to. It is a disingenuous scare
tactic to use the name "Agent Orange" in this debate.
Again, I am not pro herbicide, but I am pro honesty.
There are good arguments in this debate, notably:
About whether registration will lead to less dependence upon Roundup, and
thus to better weed control,
Whether herbicides are better than plowing/tillage for avoiding soil
erosion.
Whether there will be problems with overspray and volatization.
Whether there are in reality any health issues associated with 2,4-D.
The above all deserve serious debate, not scare tactics!
