Work done at Thessaloniki, Greece, some years ago found that in warmer
climes 2 x 25g was sufficient for colonies.
However, it isn't just the vapor that is important, but also the
mites coming in contact with the preparation as the bees remove the
material from the trays and carry it away from the hive.
Those beekeepers who have used Apiguard for some time will notice that
colonies vary in how much is cleared from the foil trays, which
suggests that Apiguard is more effective if the bees are good house
cleaners.
Any material left in the trays and that looks dry can be stirred up
for further control.
