However, I read in a recent paper that
researchers differ on which sounds the bees make during swarm preparation;

 

 

Back in the summer I applied a guitar tuner to the front of a hive and found that the normal hum was in C sharp but bees passing on the wing were in A sharp; which all goes to prove that bees are sharp!
