Rex Sawyer's book Pollen Identification for Beekeepers gives a basic method
of classifying various pollens. But as referred to earlier the pollens are
mainly european.
However the book does give details of how to prepare and examine microscope
slides of pollen both from plants and from honey. The CD Rom also referred
to is an adjunct to the book.
He followed this up with another book Honey Identification which was more
global in that he described the various pollens which would allow
determination of the country of origin of honey.
Ronald O. Kapp's Pollen and spores ISBN: 931871-05-0 deals with American
pollens.
Basically, however, you will have to go out and make reference slides from
the various local plants availble to your bees and use these to identify the
pollens you have sampled from the corbiculae of your bees.
You will need a microscope giving a minimum of X400 for pollen so a
dissecting microscope is of no use.
