When it gets very hot, the bees stop foraging and stay home. When
pollinating canola in Southern Alberta, we noticed that if the day was
very hot, they stopped work around 2 PM.
Around here, if the weather is right, the bees appear to be foraging
until very near dusk. That is one reason for large crops in the North
-- very long days and short nights right around this time of year, and
extending through July.
