Yeah well, I have "studied" it too, and I say it doesn't make any difference. But seriously, is the topic attendants or successful introduction? Because, with the attendants, it depends on the conditions. Everything is easier if there is a good honey flow on, or it the colony is small, or made up of mostly young bees.
And it's much harder to do any sort of bee work, especially queen introduction, if the bees are robbing, the colonies are huge, or if the bees are all old and have been queenless a while. If the value of the queen is very high, your methods will differ than if the value of your time is higher than the value of the queens. You do the math, you place your bets, you take your winnings/losses!
