There are rumours that fogging with oxalic acid vapour has an effect on tracheal 
mites, but  I have not seen anything definitive.

Inasmuch as, according to some sources, one of the products of heating OA is 
formic acid, that seems plausible.

Does anyone have any  references  on the question?
