We give visitors a lot of materials to choose from: different types of paper, but also heavier things, parts of toys,...
scissors so they can cut the materials
and stuff to stick the materials together: clips, glue, tape,..
Visitors can then construct what they want and try out what flies (or not) or how to adapt their shape
Once we tried feathers: but visitors ended up throwing in all the feathers at once and part of the surrounding exhibition area got covered with feathers

Good afternoon all. I have a question for those on the network who have had experiences with vertical wind tubes-those amazingly fun columns of air that allow guests to explore flight, variables and so many other things.
I was curious to see what materials have been successful on your floor with guests. We tend to use coffee filters, paper cups and plates, which work very well, but are always looking for great ideas to expand and change our palette.
Thanks in advance for your ideas,
Anne
