What big issue? Neonics and bees? I thought we were already into it. You know, why bother to talk about conversations that you have in private with "large beekeepers" if you aren't going to pass anything on. Reminds me being in elementary school -- "I've got a secret and I'm not going to tell!"

I guess you have the same opinion of Dennis's BeeInformed Partnership. He said recently that about 25% of the beekeepers lose less than 15% of their bees and another 25% lose more than 50%. The information the one group has could really help the other. And he is working hard to bridge that gap, as are so many of us.

My take is they would just as soon watch the competition fizzle out, or at the very least they've got a steady market for their surplus bees. As Aaron says, this is the Informed Discussion. If you have good information but you aren't willing to share it, what's up with that?
