Yeah, I got a little off track, typing on a phone isnt the best...

I was focusing on the fact that the brood given must have been loaded for
the first round to be so infested right off the bat.

I believe the splits would have failed without intervention due to high mite
loads and lack of good healthy brood hatching out.

Thanks for keeping me straight...

I need to go back to the parent colonies and sample mites, as they are prob.
Loaded as well.
