/Amsterdam Ceramics /edited by Jerzy Gawronski, the city archaeologist,
has just been published - I got my copy today. The first part is a
summary of the city of Amsterdam's topographical development and
archaeology in the Middle Ages and post-medieval periods. This is
followed by a catalogue of colour photographs of 1247 pots from
excavations dating from the 12th century to the present including many
imports (e.g. from England, China and Portugal). A must have for anyone
interested in the ceramics of the Low Countries or western Europe
generally.
Best Wishes
