The final post of the Wisconsin Historical Society’s investigation of the
Walter B Allen recreates the circumstances of the vessel’s demise and the
conclusions drawn from surveying its remains. Matt Carter and his team
found physical evidence confirming the historical record of the ship’s
sinking. Once again, the fantastic photographs of the clear, cold water
highlight the details of the wreck at the bottom of Lake Michigan. You can
