Hi Bob, Mike and all
Further to my post earlier today incorrectly under the heading
'bearings', the same speaker also mentioned glass bottles which some
of our members run through the dishwasher. He said "never wash new
bottles especially in a dishwasher. All suppliers of bottles for
honey, in Ontario, sell only bottles that are certified food grade".
He mentioned that if bottles needed washing for any reason, the final
rinse must be with chlorine bleach then air dried. Surely similar
regulations exist elsewhere.
