My guess is, if you did the same with any pesticide you would find the same
thing as we are talking about a bee gut problem.
So it gets back to what are the pesticides found in the hive and you
certainly have a bunch being fed the bees in sugar syrup, like oxalic,
thymol, formic...... at nowhere near trace amounts.
