A friend gave me this box - which he says was described by the antique dealer as a Queen Box. See the pictures here: http://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff397/jrhills/Bee%20Shots/IMG_0102.jpg http://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff397/jrhills/Bee%20Shots/IMG_0101.jpg http://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff397/jrhills/Bee%20Shots/IMG_0104.jpg The box is a 3" cube. There is a sliding wood entry-closure on the bottom. On the top is a round glass viewing hole. With the bottom closed, there would not be much light with which to see anything inside! I'd be grateful to hear from anybody with insights about this box including approximate date of manufacture, maker, and whether or not such a device was widely used or just a homemade one-off.
