I just read this, though it's 2 months since Karen posted. I use an
air-stapler to assemble frames. One day I was installing foundation and used
some longish 1/4 inch staples right through the side bar of the frame in the
location near where the support pins would go. It worked like a charm. If
you don't straddle the wax the first time, another shot will do it. Also
it's easy to use more locations. (Put 3 to a side). The staples actually
close up a little, to grip the wax.
