Once upon a time I assisted Jay Custer from the University of Delaware with
the examination of early 19th century crypts at Westminster Church, the
place in Baltimore where E.A. Poe is buried. The small dimensions, heavy
construction, small metal door that a person could barely squeeze through
are all very like those of the crypts in which we were working. Just a
thought.

Thank you for these great suggestions. The exterior measures 7.5 x 10.5
feet.
