Are you looking for new ideas and projects for your historical archaeology
classes? Do you have great teaching ideas that you would like to share with
your colleagues?
Chris Matthews and I are compiling syllabi for the Academic and Professional
Training Committee to be placed on the Society for Historical Archaeology
website (www.sha.org). We are seeking sample syllabi for survey courses in
historical archaeology, material culture or artifact analysis, method and
theory and regional or topical courses. We are also very interested in
successful project assignments that have worked well using historical
archaeological data.
Chris Matthews and I are the syllabi site editors and we will moderate the
site. Please send your syllabi preferably as pdf files to:
Jodi Barnes ([log in to unmask]) or
Chris Matthews ([log in to unmask]).
Please include your name, affiliation and email address on the syllabus. If
at any point, you would like to remove or update your posted syllabi on the
website, you may email one of either one of us and we will take care of it.
Thanks for your contributions!!
Jodi
