Jeremy,
I have a seminar I recently taught at the 2009 National Environmental Workshop for the National Guard in Orange County, Cali. It is an evolution of a preservation seminar that I designed for public consumption and teach many times each year to various cemetery preservation groups in the MidSouth. It is designed to familiarize the nonprofessional with method and materials for cemetery preservation including survey, documentation, and simple monument repair.

Jeremy,
The University of West Florida developed a GIS for the historic St. Michael’s cemetery in downtown Pensacola, FL. This GIS is a part of a larger program that included both below ground and above ground features of the cemetery. They have an excellent website: http://www.stmichaelscemetery.org/
One avenue for you to explore,

Subject: Cemetery Course Development
Greetings all,
I am currently trying to develop a course in historic cemetery studies, both from a below ground and above ground perspective. I am curious if there is anyone on the list that currently teaches or knows of someone who teaches such a course. I would very much like to see the directions that other people have taken.
Best,
Jeremy Pye
