To our film producer and distributor friends:
We invite you now tosubmit entries for the 2015 edition of The Archaeology ChannelInternational Film and Video Festival. This is the only international competition for this genre in the entireWestern Hemisphere and a wonderful showcase for your work. Our deadline for receipt of entries isOctober 15, 2014. TAC Festival 2015 takes place May 15-19,2015, in the Recital Hall at The Shedd Institute and at the University ofOregon Baker Downtown Center here in Eugene, Oregon, USA. You can find our entry form and furtherinformation by going tohttp://www.archaeologychannel.org/events-guide/international-film-and-video-festival/186-tac-fest-2015-pages/1786-second-call-for-entries-2015. Please read the guidelines carefully, as wedepend on you for accurate information.
Please send your entries as soon as possible, as a flood ofentries in the last week will slow down our review and notification process. So far, we’ve received a good flow ofentries, although in recent weeks the flow has slowed considerably. In previous years, some entries regrettablywere rejected because of errors in entry forms or problems with the film reviewcopies. Others arrived too late for usto consider them. If you allow plenty oftime for these problems to be resolved, you can help assure that you will notbe excluded from consideration. Also, weencourage you to make plans to attend the Festival to represent your films andalso to participate in our Conference on Cultural Heritage Film, which isgrowing each year.
For our last Festival, we received 113 entries from 24countries. We expect to exceed thosenumbers this year and to attract the world’s best films in our genre to thiscompetition. In the eleven years of TACFestival so far, we have received entries from 45 countries. With your support and participation, we cancontinue to grow TAC Festival as a promotional tool for your good work.
Please share this announcement with others you know who mayhave films suitable for entry. Many thanks and best wishes to you all.
