It's not too late to join the ASTC Connect discussion forum From Access to Inclusion: Welcoming the Autism Community!

This conversation includes perspectives from museum professionals, parents of children with autism, educators, therapists and others and helping us all learn more about how the needs of the autism community and the museum world can intersect.

Paula Rais, Director of Community Engagement at the Children's Museum of New Hampshire<http://www.childrens-museum.org/cmnh2010/> leads our discussion regarding how museums can better accommodate families with children on the autism spectrum. Paula is joined by Deb Jurkoic, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) Certified, Classroom Paraprofessional, Preschool Education Program, Every Kids Yoga Certified Instructor, former Autism Family Support Specialist, Easter Seals; Shelly Mulligan, PhD, OTR/L, Associate Professor, Department Chair, Graduate Faculty, University of New Hampshire; Kirsten Murphy, Administrative Director of NH Council on Autism Spectrum Disorders, Director ARCH , a program of the Special Needs Support Center; and Ann Roberts, PhD, Director of Clinical Services, Boston Higashi School, the International Program for Individuals with Autism as contributing moderators for this discussion forum.
